Organizing
to Think More Effectively
Groups
and Teams in the Flat World
Seminar
Abstract:
Information
systems are flattening the world and changing
business paradigms. Hierarchical business
architectures are evolving into flat team-based
architectures. New organizational structures are
cutting across hierarchical smokestacks. Teams
are making decisions and solving problems -
traditional teams, virtual teams, ad hoc
communities, finely tuned expert teams and large
group using market-based methods. How do we
incorporate these changes into our organizations
and projects? How can we work together in more
effective ways to develop visions, plans and
manage projects in a “Flattened World”?
